I was the Sound Designer and Composer for “4:48 DIGESTION”, directed by Tommaso Giacomin and performed at the Bloomsbury Festival across 3 dates.

“A highly physical piece of theatre that presents a multi-layered journey into the biological and emotional life of five performers. They serve as mirrors for each other, used to face the pure essence of themselves in relation to the world they inhabit.”

The sound work referenced a wide range of material, from wellbeing advertisements and home fitness videos, to interviews with Sarah Kane, who’s work the piece was inspired by, and recordings of the performers’ voices. Compositionally, the work was inspired by ambient and electronic music, with particular emphasis on noise and contrasting textures.
