Previously run as an international project with 9 partner organisations, The School of Hope was reimagined in the summer of 2023 as a local project in Maldon, Essex. Young creatives took part in 5 days of workshops exploring empathy as a creative tool. Following these 5 days, we installed an arts trail throughout Maldon town centre.

As the Sound Designer of this project, my role consisted of interviewing the young creatives to find out what they had learnt about empathy, how it relates to their creative practice, and what they had created. I then edited these interviews and designed them into soundscapes which could be accessed via QR codes accompanying their artworks throughout the trail.
